Digital Print Operator

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for setting up and running jobs on a roll-fed full-color variable printing system.  Maintaining consistent productive operation of the press ensuring color consistency and accuracy while meeting customer deadlines.  The Operator must be able to perform scheduled maintenance as well as trouble shooting problems or issues.

Job Type: Full time

Hours:  7:00am – 3:30pm

Salary:  $21 – $27 an hour

Job Duties:

  • * Operate roll-fed Full-Color Variable Printing System
  • * Set up and operate pre and post modules
  • * Perform preventive maintenance
  • * Handle RIP and  transfer processing of print-ready digital files
  • * Imposition knowledge
  • * Ensure smooth operation and timely pace of production to meet deadlines.
  • * Perform quality checks to ensure color standards are met and consistent.
  • * Troubleshooting Equipment Issues

Experience/Skills Required:

Minimum 1 year of rollfed digital press experience

Strong knowledge of printing and managing color

High school education or equivalent

Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment

Reading Comprehension Skills – to read and understand various work orders, and also to catch possible printing errors during production

Knowledge of paper/substrates helpful
